Frequently ask Question:

Yes — and it works beautifully. The two stays sit on the same 2.5-acre estate, so families or friend groups who want their own sleeping space but a shared outdoor experience often book both together. The cottage sleeps up to 6 and the stone & wood room sleeps up to 4, giving you a combined capacity of 10. Just reach out to us before booking so we can coordinate your arrival and make sure the bonfire is ready for everyone.

Breakfast is included with every stay, every morning — not just the first day. We serve a fresh, home-cooked breakfast in the Pahadi style: warm paranthas, local achaar, eggs, chai, and seasonal fruit from the orchard when available. It's the kind of breakfast that sets the tone for a slow day. For other meals, we're happy to recommend Thakali Restaurant (10 minutes away, excellent Nepalese and local food), CatHouse, or the very popular Jitters Café nearby.

Honestly, every season has its own argument. Spring (March–April) is when the plum trees blossom and the air smells extraordinary — many guests call it the most beautiful time. Summer (May–June) is lush, green, and perfect for long walks; temperatures are mild even when the plains are sweltering. Autumn (September–October) is harvest season — the apples are ready, the light is golden, and the sky is impossibly clear. Winter brings snow to the peaks and a stillness that's hard to describe. The property does not close in winter, though road conditions should be checked. If you're visiting for the first time, late September to early November is our personal favourite.

The estate is in the Kullu-Manali valley — close enough to reach Manali town in roughly 15–20 minutes, but set apart from the tourist bustle. The nearest landmark is the ancient Raja Bali Temple, just 2 minutes away. Free parking is available on the property, so driving is the easiest option. If you're arriving by bus, the Manali bus stand is the closest drop point; from there, a taxi or auto-rickshaw will bring you to the gate. We'll send you precise directions and a Google Maps pin after booking — the road is easy once you know it.

Duke (German Shepherd) and Cooper (Beagle) are full-time residents of the estate — friendly, well-behaved, and very opinionated about who gets the best spot near the bonfire. If you're bringing your own pet, please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly and make sure everyone gets along. We want both the two-legged and four-legged guests to have a good stay.
